Welcome to my website and work shop, I have only just started woodturning for the very first time, it's something I have always wanted to do but never had the time before, wood work is not new to me as I have been using wood for years making toys puzzles clocks and so on, having kept birds for a good part of my life a lot of wood work was involved, such as making breeding cages, nest boxes ect! my biggest projects where building bird rooms, my work shop use to be my son's budgie room, as I have always been around birds I thought turning a few bits and bobs for the bird world would be a good start for me plus it's teaching me how to use the chisels. If you are new or thinking of starting woodturning I would highly recommend joining a woodturning club like I did, the members are so helpful when starting up, plus they give you good advice about all aspects of woodturning and where to buy wood blanks and timber, our club has a good library of books and DVD's to hire out, the first book they recommended to me was (A Foundation Course by: Keith Rowley) this book was the best thing I have read as a beginner in fact I got myself a copy off e-bay there is also a video that complements the book, I am hoping to sell some of my turnings off this website to help fund my hobby. 			Yandles next show is on Friday13th & Saturady 14th April 2012, I went to the show in September and had a brillant day, it's a must if you are a wood turner.
